We popped down to take a look at the San Juan celebrations last night.
Although we were tired after Tuesday golf we strolled down to town last night.
Last time we were in Osteria da Ralph Jacqui was impressed by the Milano burger I had. So this time we both had one. We got one with extra salad and the other with some excellent chips and shared the salad and chips amongst us.
Last time we were there we had some tapas when we ordered our drinks then shared some starters between 4 of us. On that occasion I did not manage to eat all of the burger, leaving quite a large portion of the Italian bread bun and some salad. This time we had no starters and I just managed to finish my burger. There was too much for Jacqui so she had to leave some bread, salad and chips. It was lovely food and excellent value.
After that we went for a stroll along the Levante beach. We were too lazy to stray to the far side of town and take in the Poniente beach. When we strolled along the promenade between 11pm and midnight there were quite a lot of people but nowhere near as many fires as last time we went down in 2013.
We bumped into several groups of Friday golfers either having a barbie on the beach or eating at one of the restaurants. We then stopped off for a quick drink in the new Lounge chiringuito on the beach. It was fun sitting out drinking at night on the beach but there was a chilly wind and no fires nearby to keep us warm. If you do decide to try it out one evening I suggest you take a jumper with you.
