Last night Jacqui and I had a meal at the Chingón Mexican restaurant for the first time. We had a very good experience indeed.

The Chingón Mexican restaurant can be found close to the butchers around the back of "the square" in Almerimar. The entrance is up a set of steps. It is small inside but has a terrace out the back that overlooks the kiddies playground close to the old town hall office.
If you want a posh experience this is not the place for you. The menu is relatively limited and the artwork on the menu is a little edgy. The furniture is somewhat rustic and they only had 3 choices of wine. Two reds and a white. We had the white and it fine for us.
What we did get was a really good and friendly waitress. We had excellent service and also had excellent food at a reasonable price.
We shared a lovely lettuce heart and chicken salad as a starter.
We both had a burger off their specials menu served with curly fries.
We were so full after the starter and main course we did not have dessert. However we did get served some very nice chupitos with the bill.
When I booked the table yesterday lunchtime they said the first time available was 9pm. When we arrived at 9pm the restaurant was pretty quiet. However by the time we left it was very busy indeed.
All in all I can recommend this place as an interesting eating experience in Almerimar.
