The coronavirus leaves a new death in Almería and 134 more infections

A nonageneria from the capital dies from the virus, which adds 3 hospitalized

For the second consecutive day, the daily infections of coronavirus fall, although the figure continues to be above one hundred and the virus continues to leave deaths. This is clear from the data (up to seven in the morning) published by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography, which places 134 positives by PCR detected in the last 24 hours.

Of these 134 cases, almost 60% are located in the Poniente Health District, which has 79 positives. In the Almería Health District, which includes both the capital and the metropolitan area, 35 more people have been infected. The remaining 20 belong to towns in the Levante-Alto Almanzora Health District.

A deceased woman

However, the coronavirus continues to cause deaths: the one registered this Thursday is located in the capital, which has already lost 22 neighbors since the beginning of the pandemic. This time it was a woman between 90 and 94 years old.

As reported by the Junta de Andalucía in its daily report, there has been one death more associated with the outbreak that was detected on August 13 in the El Zapillo residence for the elderly (there are already eight deaths), so it may be this same case.

Hospitalizations

Covid-19 gives a slight respite in terms of those hospitalized: today there are 3 more compared to the previous day and none of them in ICU. At the moment, 107 people are suffering from the virus in hospitals in Almería; of them, 19 are admitted to the ICU.

As for those recovered, this Thursday there are 23 people who have received the high epidemic in the province.

More than a thousand cases in Andalusia

The autonomous community registers the highest number of infected in a day since March: 1,038 in the last 24 hours. Malaga is once again the province that has the most PCR positives in the same day: 410, almost 40% of the total.

Almería follows, although in this case it is even with Cádiz, where there have also been 134 cases. Somewhat behind is Seville, with 125. With 75 is Granada, with 75 Córdoba and with 70 Jaén.

In the total of the community, this Thursday leaves 57 more hospitalizations, 6 of them in ICU, 3 deceased, including the neighbor of Almería, and 104 recovered people.

The data included in this news is extracted from the daily report published by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography through the Andalusian Regional Government's Health and Family Department.

The Almería 360 cases per municipality - totals and 7 day figures (14 day not available)

As usual, see the table in the article. I have had a discussion with the people running the site about including both 7 and 14 day data as well as the totals. They said that at the moment they can only display 2 columns of data. So they have decided to replace the 14 day figures with the totals. They said they would have an attempt at including all 3 figures (total, 7 day and 14 day) tomorrow. Although they are not sure whether they will be able to. I guess we will have to wait and see.

The data and chart based on the history of the Almería 360 sourced Monday-Friday stories

AlmeriaCoronavirusStats3Sep2020

Note that there are a few recent data points missing from the chart. I am waiting to see what data Almería 360 publish tomorrow. I will then change the format of the chart as necessary. Either removing the 14 day line on the chart as this data will not be published any more by Almería 360. Or continue with the same format chart if they publish both 7 day and 14 figures again from now on. Either way I will create estimates for any small number of missing data points for El Ejido. So that the chart looks cleaner.Without any missing data for El Ejido for the first 2 days of September.
