Coronavirus: I breathe in Almería today as the figures soar in Andalusia

The province does not register deaths from Covid-19 for the first time in ten days and adds 60 infections

While the daily coronavirus infections in the last 24 hours are overflowing in Andalusia (1,551 positives through PCR, the second highest figure since the de-escalation ended), the situation in Almería seems to reach some stability: for the first time in the last ten days there is no need to mourn deaths and 60 new cases have been diagnosed, with three more hospitalizations (none in the ICU) and 69 people recovered.

According to the daily report sent by the Ministry of Health and Families of the Board, Almería is the second province in which there have been fewer infected in the last day, only behind Huelva, which has registered 35 positives. Malaga top the list, with 511 infections, Seville, with 405, and Cádiz, with 200. Then Granada (133), Córdoba (132) and Jaén (75 more cases) appear.

The number of hospitalized patients is also growing in the whole of the autonomous community, 110 more than yesterday, although only 3 have been admitted to centers in Almeria. At the moment, Almería has 43 hospitalized for coronavirus, 14 of them in Intensive Care.

This figure represents 4.2% of the total number of patients confirmed with Covid-19 in Andalusian hospitals, reaching 1,019, of which 136 are in the ICU. By provinces, the situation is especially worrying in Seville (287 people hospitalized, 33 in the ICU) and Malaga (213 hospitalized, 31 in the ICU).

Fortunately, this Wednesday there is no need to regret any death in the province of Almería due to the virus: it is the first time in ten days that this indicator, now located at 112 deaths since the beginning of the pandemic, has not increased. In Andalusia, 12 more deaths have been registered: 4 in Granada, 3 in Córdoba, 3 in Seville, 1 in Cádiz and 1 in Malaga.

And again, according to the figures released by Health, those cured in Almería outnumber the new positives in PCR. This Wednesday leaves 69 more people who have received the epidemiological discharge. In the community as a whole there are 731 recovered this day, 25,590 since the beginning of the health crisis.

In this way, there are currently 3,440 active coronavirus cases in the Almeria geography: a total of 7,564 people have contracted the virus while 4,012 have already overcome it and 112 people have lost their lives.
