Almería adds 20 admissions to the ICU and once again passes the barrier of 150 positives
This Thursday the province regrets four new deaths
At the gates of Holy Week, infections do not go down in the province. Almería once again passes this day of the 150 new positives. The bad news also comes today with the number of deaths and admissions to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in the last 24 hours.
The update of the data this Thursday by the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA) reflects that the province added this March 25 a total of 158 new cases, once again exceeding 150 positives (something that had not happened since March 18 when there were 153 infections).
The data of this day suppose a slight increase in the number of cases, since this Wednesday 140 were registered.
The province also has to add four new deaths, after a Wednesday without deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, last March, there are already 729 people with Covid-19 who have lost their lives.
From the update of the IECA data, the number of people admitted to the ICU in 24 hours is striking: 20. In addition, a total of 17 people from Almería have needed to be hospitalized in a center from Almería.
In the province there are already 36,215 people who have defeated the virus, adding the 274 cured from this last day.
The provincial incidence rate has dropped to 220.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants in the last 14 days (yesterday it was 225) and that of the capital has dropped to 238.9 positive (this Tuesday it was 247.9), according to data from the IECA.
A situation that will be analyzed again this Thursday by the Provincial Committee for High Impact Health Alerts in Almería, which meets this afternoon. In this meeting, the incidence rates of the province, the health districts and each of the Almeria municipalities will be studied to relax, harden or maintain the measures imposed in each territory.
This Wednesday, the Government delegate to the Board in Almería, Maribel Sánchez, acknowledged that there are still many cases that are occurring in the province and warned of the large presence of the British strain, "much more contagious." For all these reasons, she asked, once again, for social responsibility, especially in view of the imminent arrival of Holy Week.
