After two days without an epidemiological report from the Andalusian Regional Government Health Department due to the Holy Week festivities, the expected increase in positives and deaths has been confirmed with the data provided this Saturday by Health, which has almost notified 500 new positives and seven covid patients died in the province of Almería since 07:00 on Wednesday.

Specifically, epidemiological information today shows that there are 473 new cases of coronavirus detected in the last 72 hours, bringing the number of infected persons detected in the province to 49,147 through PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR). Likewise, the number of deceased patients after being diagnosed as positive by covid has also increased this Saturday, which has been seven since Holy Wednesday and already leaves a total of 750 people from Almeria who have lost their lives so far in the pandemic. In this sense, it should be noted that the province has been the one that has registered the most deaths in Andalusia, since of the 20 total in the community, seven have occurred here and only Malaga and Seville are close, with five each.

As for the hospitals in the province, Torrecárdenas, in the capital Almería; Poniente, in El Ejido, and La Inmaculada, in the municipality of Huércal-Overa, the hospital pressure is above one hundred admitted, since today there are 119 people from Almeria hospitalized, of which 48 are in an intensive care bed given its severity.

It should be noted the good trend that ICUs have presented during the last three days, in which only one patient has needed to enter one of the beds reserved for the most serious patients, although in total there have been 22 people from Almeria who have required to be hospitalized from the latest Health data, provided last Wednesday, March 31.
