New rise in positives in Almería, which adds another deceased
The Board counts 11 more hospitalized, five of them in Intensive Care
Slight upturn in positives in Almería. If yesterday the province suddenly added more than forty positives compared to the day before, which meant the first day since April 6 below 100 cases in 24 hours, today the 128 cases detected from 07:00 hours on Thursday They are again more than those of 121 yesterday.
Despite the slight rise in positives, the figures collected today on the Covid Portal of the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography continue to leave a fourth wave in the province that has nothing to do in terms of virulence with its predecessors and contains the advance of the virus, which leaves 53,138 infected in Almería since the beginning of the pandemic in March.
The deceased by covid registered in the province in the last 24 hours, contrary to the number of new positives, represents the same number registered the day before, with which there are already 804 people from Almeria who have lost their lives in these more than 12 months of pandemic. Regarding the number of new hospitalized, the Ministry of Health and Families today added 11 in the three hospitals in the province, of which five have entered Intensive Care given its severity.
For their part, Almeria with an epidemiological discharge in the last 24 hours once again exceed the positives and today there have been 334 patients recovered, which again reduces active cases, which this Friday are already below 5,000, since there are 'only' 4,794 who are infected right now, a figure that in the worst moments of the third wave reached more than 15,000 infected Almeria.
In Andalusia, 1,604 cases of coronavirus have been registered this Friday, April 30, which are less than the 1,698 positives on Thursday and the 2,070 seven days ago. Likewise, 13 deaths have been counted, a figure higher than the nine deaths the day before, but notably below the 33 of last Friday.
By provinces, Seville has again added the highest number of infections with 423, followed by Granada with 312 and Malaga with 237. The rest of the provinces have counted less than 200 cases: Jaén with 153, Cádiz with 138, Almería with 128, Huelva with 122 and Córdoba with 98.

Good progress with vaccinations in the province
Almería breaks another record with almost 8,000 vaccines in one day
220,000 doses have been exceeded since the end of last year
The mass vaccination process against the coronavirus is progressing significantly in the province of Almería, according to advanced data this Friday morning by the territorial delegate for Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, Juan de la Cruz Belmonte Mena.
Belmonte has specified that yesterday, April 29, a new record was broken with more than 7,800 punctures placed in a single day, which exceeds the previous one, marked with 7,249 doses.
"In Almería more than 220,000 doses have already been administered" of Pfizer, Moderna, AstraZeneca and Janssen since the end of 2020, explained the territorial delegate of Health and Families, who has also valued that thanks to this mass vaccination plan , deployed in the three health districts of the province, has achieved a partial immunization of more than 30 percent of the target population to be vaccinated, that is, those over 16 years of age.
The delegate added that the Andalusian Administration will continue to insist that "we need more vaccines to arrive because we have the capacity to put them." "Only then-he has emphasized-we will have a summer as calm as possible."
Without knowing the updated data, until Thursday a total of 213,425 doses had been administered in the province and there were more than 58,000 people in Almeria with the complete schedule, that is, the two doses of vaccine, in this case from Pfizer or Moderna, which are the most advanced in the process, since the second dose of AstraZeneca will not be given until next month, as long as the health authorities authorize it.
At the Andalusian level, the president of the Board, Juanma Moreno, has also stressed this Friday morning in a ceremony in Seville that yesterday a record was also broken in the autonomous community, with more than 100,000 doses injected in a single day. This shows, as Moreno Bonilla has stressed, that it is possible to execute the plan of 500,000 doses a week in the eight provinces.
The Board values today's agreement with the CEOE and CEA employers to carry out antigen tests in large companies and the offer of mutuals to vaccinate workers.
Published earlier today - vaccination stats from 30 April 2021 - with data going up to 29 April
Another 2.4% of 70-79 year olds have been given at least 1 dose in Andalucía in the last 24 hours - we are now up at 86.7% - at this rate we would reach 100% by sometime next week - at that point we could perhaps see things move on to the 50-59 year olds in Andalucía
Vaccination of 60-69 year olds is continuing well in Andalucía. We now have 54.1% of this age group having had at least one injection. So an increase of 3.3% vaccinated with at least one dose of AstraZeneca in the last 24 hours.
