Stats for the last 48 hours - 92 more cases and 2 more deaths
The weekend leaves almost a hundred infections and Almería adds two deaths
The province's hospitals "suffer" seven new admissions to the ICU
Almería once again remains below one hundred new infections, but has to regret two deaths. Some data that correspond to the last 48 hours, since on Sundays the Junta de Andalucía has not reported these data since the last weeks.
The latest update of the figures on the evolution of the pandemic in the Andalusian community by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) shows that Almería has added a total of 92 positives detected through the PDIA tests in the last 48 hours (antigen test and PCR), being the second province in the region with fewer infections this past weekend (Jaén has 87).
The province registers two new deaths in these two days. Since the start of the pandemic, in March 2020, there are already 807 people with Covid-19 who have lost their lives.
The situation in Almeria hospitals worsens in recent hours with 7 new admissions to the Intensive Care Unit, although only two new hospitalizations, according to data from the IECA. Currently, Almería has 107 hospitalizations, of which 41 are in the ICU.
The number that continues to increase is that of people who have already defeated the coronavirus: 304 in these two weekend days. In total, there are already 48,134 people from Almeria who have overcome the disease since March last year.
The incidence rate for the last 14 days in the province is 219.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
By health districts, Almería continues to be the one with the worst situation with 329.6 infections, followed by Poniente with 165.7 and Levante-Alto Almanzora with 95.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
As of this May 3, the province has a total of 4,388 active cases: it is the result of the difference between the total confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (53,329) and the difference between the total number of deaths (807) and of recovered (48,134).

El Ejido now has 188.6 cases (approximately 24 fewer than LAST FRIDAY) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)
Poniente Region now has 150.8 cases (approximately 15 fewer than LAST FRIDAY) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)
