More than 160 people overcome the coronavirus in the last 24 hours
The evolution of the pandemic continues to be positive in the province and Almería is once again the Andalusian territory that registers the fewest cases.
According to the latest data update by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), the new infections are going down and Almería adds this Wednesday a total of 34 positives detected through the PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR). Córdoba is the second Andalusian province with fewer cases with a figure far removed from Almeria, 75. The community today raises its infections to 1,264.
The good news regarding the new positives is clouded with two new deaths in the last 24 hours. There are already 829 people with Covid who have lost their lives since the start of the pandemic.
According to data from the IECA, on this day we must add three new admissions in Almeria hospitals, none in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
A total of 163 people overcome the disease in the last 24 hours. Since March 2020, there are already 52,543 people from Almeria who have defeated the virus.
As of this May 26, the province has a total of 1,228 active cases: it is the result of the difference between the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (54,600) and the difference between the total number of deaths (829) and of recovered (52,543).
The provincial incidence rate for the last 14 days continues to decline: this Wednesday it is 78.4 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The situation of the three health districts of the province is as follows: Almería has 93.7 infections, Poniente has 69.2 and Levante-Alto Almanzora is 64.0 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. The latter district that experiences a rise, as happened in previous days.
The capital of Almería maintains its incidence rate at 106.8 infections per 100,000 inhabitants.

El Ejido now has 51.3 cases (approximately 4 fewer than yesterday) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)
Poniente Region now has 69.2 cases (approximately 3 fewer than yesterday) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)

97.9% of 70-79 year olds in Andalucía have had at least one vaccination - a 0.1% increase (mainly Pfizer or Moderna with a small amount of Janssen I think)
88.3% of 60-69 year olds in Andalucía have had at least one vaccination - a 0.4% increase (AstraZeneca)
52.1% of 50-59 year olds in Andalucía have had at least one vaccination - a 3.3% increase (mainly Pfizer or Moderna with Janssen an option from today)
