Stats for the last 48 hours - 114 more cases and 1 more death
Almería does not loosen in the containment of the coronavirus although it registers another death
The report with the data for Sunday and Monday adds an admission to the ICU and 121 more recovered
On May 10, Almería registered 114 positives for coronavirus between Sunday and Monday. It was the last time that one hundred new daily infections were exceeded. Now, three weeks later, the province continues without slowing down in the containment of Covid-19. And, also, with the best data from all of Andalusia. Good news that only tarnishes a new death.
The data from the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) for the last 48 hours (the Board does not update the information on Sundays) leave 69 new cases detected through PDIA tests (PCR technique or rapid antigen test). There are no more hospitalized, although there is one more admission to the Intensive Care Unit. And one death, which raises the number of deaths in the province of Almería from the beginning of the pandemic to 831. On the other hand, after the weekend, 121 people have overcome the disease after this weekend.
Thus, the active cases of coronavirus in the province, as of May 31, are 938: this is the difference between the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (54,813) and the difference between the total number of deaths. (831) and cured (53,044). Two weeks ago, on May 17, there were 2,321 active cases, and a week ago, on May 10, there were 3,444 active cases.
This good run in May translates into a drop in cumulative incidence. Now, the rate in the province is 78.7 cases in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants. In Almería capital, this marker is placed at 98.3. By health districts, the incidence is 87.2 in Almería, 77.7 in Levante-Alto Almanzora and 69.2 in Poniente.
After this data update, according to the Junta de Andalucía, Almería is below the 30 confirmed patients with coronavirus admitted to centers in the province: right now there are 29 hospitalized; of them, 12 are in the ICU.
In the autonomous community as a whole, the Ministry of Health and Families reports 29 new admissions in the last 24 hours, 1 of which are in Intensive Care. Regarding hospital pressure, there are 816 patients with Covid-19 in Andalusian hospitals, of which 203 are in the ICU.
In the rest of the community this is the situation: in Cádiz there are 67 people hospitalized with Covid-19, of which 17 in ICU; in Córdoba, 72, of which 25 in ICU; in Granada there are 157 patients hospitalized for the disease, of which 46 are in the ICU; and in Huelva there are 56 hospitalizations, of which 7 are in the ICU.
Likewise, in Jaén 101 people are admitted with coronavirus, 20 of them in ICU; in Malaga there are 107 hospitalizations, with 15 in the ICU; and in Seville, 227 hospitalized patients, with 61 in Intensive Care.
In the entire autonomous community, after the data update this Monday, the Board collects 1,397 new coronavirus infections notified through PDIA.
By provinces, Seville leads with 321, followed by Malaga with 270 positives. Behind them is Jaén, with 201. Already below 200 but above 100 appear Granada with 189, Huelva with 141 and Cádiz with 130. And below a hundred, Córdoba with 76 positives and Almería with 69.
Regarding the deceased, 2 Andalusians have lost their lives due to Covid-19 between Sunday and Monday: in addition to the death reported in Almería, there has been another death in Córdoba. In the section of recovered, 1,542 people have received the epidemiological discharge.
In total, since the beginning of the health crisis, 572,977 people have contracted the disease in Andalusia, 9,932 have died and 521,893 have managed to recover.
