A day ahead of schedule, the province of Almería has vaccinated more than 10,000 people against the coronavirus in a single day.
The delegate of the Government of the Junta de Andalucía, Maribel Sánchez Torregrosa, has advanced this morning the data corresponding to June 8 in the province, in which 10,300 punctures were exceeded.
The data, which will be ratified in the report issued this morning by the Ministry of Health and Families of the Junta de Andalucía, is the highest of those who have signed up since the mass vaccination process started on December 27, 2020 in a municipal nursing home in El Ejido.

As of June 9, the province has a total of 766 active cases: it is the result of the difference between the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (55,125) and the difference between the total number of deaths (835) and of recovered (53,524).

The provincial incidence rate for the last 14 days this Wednesday stands at 65.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The situation of the three health districts of the province is as follows: Almería has 67 infections, that of Poniente has 70 and that of Levante-Alto Almanzora is 54.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The capital of Almería currently has an incidence rate of 81.5 infections in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants.
