Stats for the last 24 hours - 114 more cases and no more deaths
Almería exceeds the red line of one hundred infections after two months below
The province once again exceeds 1,000 active cases
Generalized rise in the provincial incidence rate and that of the health districts of the last 14 days, as well as that of many municipalities, after the considerable increase in the number of new infections that the province has experienced. Almería surpasses this Tuesday the red line of one hundred cases, something that had not happened since last May.
The latest data update by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) shows that Almería has a total of 114 positives detected through PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR). You have to go back to the month of May to see more than a hundred infections in the province (114 on the 10th in the update of the data for that weekend and on the 7th with 164).
The Andalusian community registers 1,806 new infections this Tuesday, Malaga being the province with the most positives with 571.
The only good news of the day is that in these last 24 hours Almería does not register new deaths. Since the start of the pandemic, 837 people with Covid have lost their lives.
According to data from the IECA, hospitals have also suffered this bad progress of the pandemic. And it is that five people from Almeria have needed to be admitted to a health center this last day, one in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
Only two people have been discharged in the last 24 hours. Since March 2020, there are already 54,592 people from Almería who have overcome the disease.
Another negative data that the day leaves is that Almería once again exceeds 1,000 active cases. As of this July 6, the province has a total of 1,006: it is the result of the difference between the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (56,435) and the difference between the total number of deaths (837) and recovered (54,592).
Last 14 days
The provincial incidence rate for the last 14 days grew ten points in a single day and exceeded 100 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, standing at 107.8.
The situation in the three health districts of the province also worsens: Almería has 110.7 infections, Poniente has 88.6 and Levante-Alto Almanzora is 135.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The capital of Almería currently has an incidence rate of 105.3 infections in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants, compared to 89.4 this Monday.
