Infections soar in Almería: more than 300 positives in just 24 hours
Health reports 21 hospitalizations in the ward and two admissions to the ICU
The contagions are triggered in Almería. The province adds more than 300 new cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the data update by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), Almería registers a total of 316 positives detected through the PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR), only twenty less than those reported this Monday and that corresponded to two days (Saturday and Sunday).
You have to go back to February 13 to see a similar number of infections. On that day there were 321 cases.
The positives in Andalusia are also skyrocketing and this Tuesday the community adds 3,687 infections. It does so on a key day, as this afternoon the Regional Committee for High Impact on Public Health meets again to analyze the current situation and decide whether or not to apply new restrictions.
In the last 24 hours, there are no new deaths to mourn. Since the start of the pandemic, 839 people with Covid have lost their lives in the province.
This Tuesday it is necessary to add two new admissions in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and, suddenly, Health notifies 21 hospitalizations in the plant.
According to the IECA, a total of 53 people from Almería have overcome the disease in the last 24 hours. Since March 2020, there are already 55,130 people cured of Covid.
Active cases also continue to increase in the province, standing at 2,593. This is the result of the difference between the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (58,562) and the difference between the total number of deaths (839) and those recovered (55,130).
Last 14 days
The province of Almería is already at extreme risk for coronavirus, since its incidence rate in the last 14 days rises this Tuesday to 277.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, 31.6 points more than this Monday.
The situation in the province's health districts also worsens: Almería has 353.1 infections (yesterday it was 293.7), Poniente has 194 (compared to 184.3 the day before) and Levante-Alto Almanzora, 265.7 cases per 100,000 inhabitants (this Monday was 253.3).
The capital of Almería currently has an incidence rate of 381.5 infections in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants, 72.5 points more than yesterday.
