Stats for the last 24 hours - 383 more cases and no more deaths
Almería touches 400 infections at the doors of the weekend
The fifth wave continues to wreak havoc in the province and this Friday returns bad data on the evolution of the pandemic. At the weekend, Almería is dangerously close to 400 new infections and hospital pressure continues to grow. The good news is that there is no regret for further deaths.
According to the data update by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), Almería adds this day a total of 383 positives detected through PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR), 21 more than those recorded in the eve.
Andalusia continues to be hit by this fifth wave and this Friday registers 5,099 cases. The provinces of Malaga and Seville exceed a thousand new infections this day.
In these last 24 hours, there is no need to mourn new deaths, as if it has occurred in recent days. The people of Almeria with Covid-19 who have lost their lives since the beginning of the pandemic amount to 847.
Hospital pressure in the province's health centers continues to increase with seven admissions to the ward, one in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
A total of 80 people from Almeria have overcome the disease in the last 24 hours. Since March 2020, there are already 55,824 people who have defeated the coronavirus.
Active cases continue to increase in the province, reaching 5,075. This is the result of the difference between the total number of confirmed cases since the beginning of the pandemic (61,746) and the difference between the total number of deaths (847) and those recovered (55,824).

Incidence rates for the past 14 days are on the rise. The province of Almería raises its to 519.3 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The situation of the health districts of the province is as follows: Almería has 648.7 infections, that of Poniente has 428.1 and that of Levante-Alto Almanzora, 415.8 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The capital of Almería currently has an incidence rate of 692.9 infections in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants.
El Ejido now has 402.3 cases (approximately 32 more than yesterday) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)
Poniente Region now has 428.1 cases (approximately 25 more than yesterday) per 100,000 inhabitants based on the 14 day average (red for increase; blue for decrease)
