Almería, touching 40 new positives in the last 24 hours, remains on this day as the third province of Andalusia with the most infections. Malaga and Seville continue to be the territories that register the most cases.
There are already five days without new admissions to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and thirteen without deaths in the province. Undoubtedly, two good news about the evolution of the pandemic in the Almeria territory.
According to the data provided by the Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA), Almería added this Tuesday 39 positives detected through the PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR), compared to 22 the day before and corresponding to the days on Saturday and Sunday.
For its part, Andalusia registers a total of 218 coronavirus infections this Tuesday, October 5. The cumulative incidence stands at 40.9 per 100,000 inhabitants and continues to be at a low risk level for coronavirus, so that it drops 1.8 points in 24 hours and 14 points in a week.
On this day, Malaga is the province that registers the most infections with a total of 63, followed by Seville with 45, Almería with 39, Cádiz with 24, Granada with 15, Córdoba with 14, Jaén with eleven and Huelva with seven.
There are already thirteen days that have passed without Almería suffering new deaths from coronavirus. A total of 923 people with Covid have lost their lives since the start of the pandemic, in March 2020.
In the last 24 hours there have been three new admissions in Almeria hospitals, none in the Intensive Care Unit. At present, in Almería there are 37 people hospitalized, 15 in the ICU.
A total of 68,407 people have already overcome the disease, after the 83 cured of the day this Tuesday.
Active cases in the province are currently 918, 44 less than this Monday.

The incidence rate in the province of Almería is 85.6 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, eleven points less than a week ago.
The situation of the health districts of the province is as follows: Almería has 111.1 infections, that of Poniente has 65.1 and that of Levante-Alto Almanzora, 70.5 cases per 100,000 inhabitants.
The capital of Almería currently has an incidence rate of 69.5 infections in the last 14 days per 100,000 inhabitants.
78.9% of the province's population already has the complete coronavirus vaccine schedule, a percentage that rises to 89.7% if only the target population (those over 12 years of age) are taken into account.

Poniente de Almería Health District, dependent on the Andalusian Regional Government's Ministry of Health and Families, continues to work to try to achieve the vaccination of one hundred percent of the target population.
The activity in the external points ended last week and, since yesterday, the campaign has focused on health centers. Likewise, the work of summons by health personnel continues to try to reach the furthest behind.
From Distrito Poniente, all users, over 12 years of age, who have not received any dose to date are being called by phone. In some cases, the vaccine was postponed and in others it was rejected. Healthcare workers are eager to argue the importance of reaching the largest volume of immunized population to combat Covid-19.
Poniente District closed the external vaccination points located in the region last week. On Friday the activity ended in the Infanta Cristina Pavilion in the municipality of Roquetas de Mar, in the Municipal Sports Pavilion of El Ejido and in the Vícar Sports Pavilion. On Thursday, the use of La Azucarera de Adra ended and on Wednesday, that of the Berja Multiple Use Center.
To date, in Roquetas de Mar more than 136,000 doses have been administered and 181 work days have been counted. In El Ejido, 133,000 vaccinations in 176 work days. In other municipalities such as Vícar, the number of doses exceeds 52,200 spread over 136 days. In Adra, 38,400 doses have been administered and 108 work days have been counted. Finally, more than 19,700 vaccines have been administered in Berja in 76 vaccination days.
The manager of the Poniente Health District, Enriqueta Quesada, makes an appeal to the population that has not yet been vaccinated. To receive the vaccine, you can make an appointment through the Salud Responde application, the ClicSalud + website and the health centers. “If there are difficulties in requesting it, we attend to all the people directly in the health centers. Our intention is to provide all possible facilities for the vaccine to reach the entire target population as soon as possible ”, she clarified.
