Great rise in infections and Almería adds a new death
Incident rates keep rising
The coronavirus pandemic hits the province again and reminds the people of Almería that the health alert has not yet been concluded. If this Monday the infection data for the weekend were positive and invited optimism, on this day Almería receives a new setback.
The province experiences a large increase in the number of new cases and has to add a new death in the last 24 hours.
The Andalusian Institute of Statistics and Cartography (IECA) reports 60 positives detected in Almería through PDIA tests (antigen test and PCR), when 21 cases corresponding to two days were reported yesterday (Saturday and Sunday).
The data from Andalusia are not good either, since the community registers a total of 487 infections on Tuesday, November 16, and reports five deaths. Its incidence rate in 14 days increases 4.4 points in 24 hours and already has 48.9 cases per 100,000 inhabitants, bordering on the average risk of contagion by coronavirus.
On this day, Malaga is the one with the most positive reports with 125 cases, followed by Córdoba with 105, Almería with 60, Cádiz with 57, Seville with 45, Granada with 43, Jaén with 37 and Huelva with 15.
In Almería, 933 people with Covid have died since the beginning of the pandemic, after counting the death of this last day.
Three people have needed to be admitted to a hospital in the province, two to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The positive of the day is in the increase of people who have overcome the disease. In the last 24 hours, 53 people from Almeria have defeated Covid-19. This past weekend Salud reported the recovery of 34 patients in the two days.
