The City Council of El Ejido opens a new municipal Web portal coinciding with the 20th anniversary of the first contact of the Consistory in the network. This new version stands out for being more accessible, intuitive, visual, fast and complete and its objective is to facilitate citizens' access to all management and municipal activity, adapting to the new information and communication technologies.

Today he has released all the details of the page the Councilor of Internal Regime, José Cristian Callejón, accompanied by the mayor, Juan José Bonilla, and the head of the Computer Unit, José Miguel Sánchez Orellana. Also, Callejón has detailed that "the Web of the City Council elejido.es is a window from which the Consistory looks at the citizenship with a single click".

“It is a very powerful tool that fits perfectly with the Law 39/2015 of Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations, which allows the user, whether private or company, to communicate telematically with this City Council, in a way more comfortable, ”explained the councilor.

In this new version, the third since the first portal was released in 1999, the information has been organized more intuitively for users with much more complete, visual and connected content with social networks. With a small number of clicks, the user is able to access the data that most interests him in a safe, close, agile and simple way, and is also alive and in continuous adaptation.

Thus, the entry page includes five areas of action: informative portals, which include Culture, Sports, Tourism, Libraries, Citizen Protection, Social Services or Urban Planning; online service portals, which includes CUAM, Electronic Office and Virtual Office, Transparency and Supplier Portal; mobile applications with InformaT, Locate me and Beaches apps; update of information in the Google universe and coordination with social networks, through Facebook, Instagram and YouTube.

And this portal receives an average of 85,000 visits per year, 25,000 of them stable and serves 600 people daily. The mayor stressed that "the idea of ​​renewing the website of the Consistory has always had as a horizon to bring municipal management closer to the citizen and become a useful tool for users."

Callejón has reviewed and thanked "the tireless work that has been done by the City Council's ICT services and the collaboration of workers who come from employment plans." And it is that this new portal comes to complete the work of modernization and restructuring of contents and Internet of all municipal areas. It has been carried out entirely from the ICT services of the Consistory and with the collaboration of young employment program workers. Likewise, all subsequent maintenance will be carried out by municipal personnel from all areas.

For his part, José Miguel Sánchez Orellana, Chief of Informatics explained during the presentation that “the InformaT application is the platform for mobile devices and tablets specially adapted in which the informative contents of all portals will be incorporated in an orderly way with news , agendas, taxpayer calendar, bulletin board or notices of interest ”.

It is worth mentioning that, in addition, one of the imminent objectives of this page is to improve accessibility for groups with specific needs, as well as the electronic processing and Virtual Office systems through the EDUSI Funds.

Finally, the councilor has emphasized that the design is “very careful, in line with the corporate image of the city. The page offers all the necessary information to carry out any of the most common procedures that have to do with municipal management, which, in the long run, avoids unnecessary displacements and much inconvenience to the neighbors ”.
