Almerimar

Last night the brightest thing in the UD Almería stadium was the big new TV screen. The team played really poorly again.

Alan and I saw the match live. The first time in a little while. We sat close to the corner of the stadium where it was not as crowded. It was interesting to get a different view of the match for a change.

The sequence is now 4 losses and a draw in the last 5 matches. We have dropped to second place in the league (on equal points with the new leaders). Two points ahead of third place.

We played poorly throughout the game and lost 0-2 to Eibar. Missing some good chances to score, again.

Given the sheikh's reputation for sacking managers I am wondering whether Rubi or Johnson will be out of a job first. I think if Rubi does not get at least 4 points from the next 2 matches he will be gone.

Next match is Oviedo away on Saturday night. I hope that the return of Sadiq will make a difference.
